Hitting the speaking and seminar circuit again is one of the things that has inspired me to write Greatness Awaits. I have unearthed some very profound information that will enable individuals of all ages who are seeking their fortunes in life an opportunity to make some very informed decisions.
Whether I am delivering a one-hour keynote address or a full day training seminar, I want to make certain that those who are in attendance leave with the education and business skills and tools they need to become even more successful in all of their endeavors. The knowledge I have in my possession will enable me to do that. My desire is to share as much of that knowledge with others as is humanly possible.
For example, there are three concepts or ideas that all individuals must master in order to achieve a significant level of success in life. My intent is to make certain that all individuals are cognizant of what those are and the most effective ways in which each of those ideas can be put to use. Most people already know them but at the other end of the spectrum, most individuals never take the time to apply them to their personal and professional lives and therefore, never achieve the results they desire.
The first concept is motivation. Essentially, there are three types, fear, incentive and personal. People respond when they are afraid. They also respond when there’s an incentive or a reward for a job well done but perhaps the most powerful kind of motivation is at work when individuals perform as a result of what it is that drives them from deep inside their hearts.
The second concept is inspiration. Who or what inspires you? How jacked up can you get to do a particular thing? What can keep you that way? Whether it’s a child, an author or a significant other, the role that staying inspired plays in your life is incredibly important. The primary reason why is because inspiration and the examples it provides enable you to maintain your consistency. The empowerment guru, Anthony Robbins, says it this way. “Anything you consistently improve, you will wind up dominating.”
Thirdly, the most important concept is the word, “empowerment.” The book, Greatness Awaits, lays out a plethora of success strategies in the various chapters that readers can use to empower themselves. Individuals who read these chapters will be able to recognize their own weaknesses in an effort to diminish those weaknesses and strengthen their personal resolve which will in turn enhance their opportunities for greater success to occur in their lives.
Reader self-assessment is critical. This simply means that the reader must ascertain which chapters in the book will be of the most benefit to him or her and put the ideas and concepts mentioned in the book into action. This is how “empowerment” works. What do you need most? Discovering your purpose, crafting a vision for what you need to do or developing a measure of concentration that will keep you moving forward are all critical to the formation of habits that will ensure your success.
In Dr. Wayne Dyer’s book, Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling, he sums it up this way with Patanjali’s powerful quote. “When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” Those who take the time to read, understand and apply these powerful principles to their lives will continue to grow, develop and become even more effective.
